ABOUT
Hello! My name is Dr. Madhvi Pradeep Mohindra, sydney-based artist, writer and community voice
Dr. Madhvi Mohindra is a woman of many rhythms — a dancer, musician, writer, counsellor, and lifelong seeker of meaning. Her journey flows between performance and introspection, between the stage and the human mind, between art that moves and empathy that heals.
Born in Bhiwani, Haryana, into a family of scholars and artists, Madhvi discovered her calling in movement and melody at the age of four. Trained under Guru Smt. Prem Lata Ellawadi, Pt. Rajendra Gangani (Jaipur Gharana), and Guru Vedvyas (Lucknow Gharana), she mastered the precision of Jaipur’s footwork and the lyrical grace of Lucknow’s abhinaya. Over decades of dedication, she became known for uniting classical discipline with emotional storytelling, performing and teaching across India, Fiji, and Australia.
Her creative expression expanded beyond Kathak to include Indian classical music, folk and Bollywood dance, and theatre, leading her to choreograph productions for television, film, and cultural festivals. A former Femina Miss India contestant (1992) and award-winning performer, she has also worked as a radio and media personality with All India Radio, Radio Navtarang Fiji, Fiji Broadcasting Corporation, and SBS Australia — always using her voice to bridge art, culture, and community.
Yet, behind the applause, Madhvi has always listened to a quieter rhythm — the rhythm of human emotion. Her experiences as an artist drew her toward the inner world of the psyche, inspiring her to pursue advanced studies in Counselling. Today, as a practising counsellor, she helps clients find resilience, self-expression, and balance through mindful reflection and authentic connection.
A natural storyteller, Madhvi brings the same sensitivity to her writing. Her forthcoming Hindi short-story collection, Karvatei, is a tapestry of lives in motion — stories of women, memory, love, and renewal. Each story reflects her understanding that life, like dance, unfolds through changing postures, pauses, and transformations.
Through every medium she touches — the ghungroo, the pen, the microphone, or the counselling chair — Dr. Madhvi Mohindra continues to explore one unbroken truth: that art and healing are not separate paths, but two expressions of the same compassionate soul.
25 Years Of Experiences

Her journey reflects both artistic excellence and cultural leadership, making her a respected voice in the fields of performance, education, and community engagement.
